I think it's safe to say we're all aware of the health crisis. Safety is a big priority now, possibly more than it has been in recent years. There’s no doubt about it. COVID19 will leave a lasting impact on our culture. It has highlighted issues already present. Additionally, it has heightened some that we were already quite aware of. Specifically speaking, COVID19 has challenged the mental health of many. Physical distancing and “Stay-at-Home” orders have left us stuck in our homes. We're now isolated from friends and family, and feeling very lonely. There is almost constant threat of illness with no end in sight. Sometimes, regardless of how safe we are being. Our home is doubling as our office. And now, homeschooling our kiddos. And for some of us, the constant presence of family (for those who may be living with them) has made anxiety worse. To top it all off, the emphasis on stocking up on food and grocery trips feel like the Hunger Games. Aisles are bare and no one has toilet paper. Literally no one. We don't know what food will be available and what won't be. The grocery shopping fiasco has brought our relationship with food into the spotlight. And let’s be honest, we’ve probably been avoiding it.

How Online Therapy in Missouri Can Help You Heal

Some people have never struggled with their mental health before. Most of the time, they've felt pretty okay. But now, some of those people are suddenly having a hard time. This can be pretty life changing for them. Other people have struggled with their mental health before. However, some are feeling symptoms worsening because of our current circumstances. An added barrier is trying to maintain the habits we've created to maintain our mental health. Therapists may not be seeing clients face-to-face right now, but that does not mean we aren’t hard at work. Online therapy in Missouri has made therapy accessible, even when we can’t leave the house.
